It's a Girl!- Katherine Ann Beeson!

It's been a week now since our little one arrived and after a two day hospital stay, (really three if you count the day of doctor appointments and waiting to be induced, a few days on photo therapy for jaundice and a few days to process, I am finally blogging it for the world to see.

Katherine Ann Beeson (Kate) arrived last Saturday morning at 2:48 AM. She came weighing 6 pounds 8 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. All went well and to be honest much more smoothly than I expected. Everyone is happy and well. Here are some pictures. because we know that's what everyone really wants to see anyway. (They aren't in order because that would take too much time at this point but hopefully later I can rearrange! Until then, Enjoy!)

April Flowers and May Shower!

Last weekend my brother John flew my mother into town so she could be here for my baby shower. We had Friday free for some fun together time so we spent the morning at the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival. The Gardens were beautiful as always and it was so nice to spend time together in such a peaceful place. I only got a few pictures in before the battery in my camera died and of course they don't quite do it justice. After we walked around the Gardens for a bit, Marshall met us for some lunch on the patio and Nicole was able to sneak away for a short lunch break with us at the same time.

The next day my wonderful friends Nicole and Cheryl hosted an AMAZING baby shower for me. Nicole let us have it in her beautiful home and she and Cheryl made some delicious and fancy treats for the occasion. Again the pictures don't speak to all the talented and hard work they did.

Several family and friends attended and others sent gifts and well wishes. Again, my camera was being silly so only a few shots of the festivities but here are some of the adorable things Jill made for me and the baby!
After the shower, Nicole, Loey and I rushed off to celebrate National Scrapbook day at Heartland Paper for a Girls Night Out! Loey and I worked on a project together and discovered that we aren't as scrapbook savvy as we would like to think, but we had a GREAT time! I can't post pics of our project just yet since it's meant to be a gift, but I will post some later as well as some more shower pics that Brittanie took for me when my camera was acting up. In the meantime here is a shot of our mess!
Thanks so much to John for flying mom out to be there for my shower. It was so nice to have her there and to get to spend some time with her getting ready for baby to come. And BIG thanks to everyone who took time out of their schedules to attend and to those who worked so hard to make it nice! Also, I should mention Jill (and Ella) and Emmie who graciously gave me tons of clothes and blankets when we had our unofficial shower/girls day in Texas... without their help I wouldn't know where to begin with baby clothes. I will post some pics of some of the cute stuff they passed on to me when our little one is born and I get to start playing dress up! I can't wait!

Happy Birthday Marshall Pants!

Isn't that a cute little guy?
Today is Marshall's birthday and I am sooooo glad he was born! This past weekend we went on a small getaway up to the Grand America Hotel in SLC to celebrate his birthday and to spend some time alone together before the baby comes- sort of a last Hoorah!
Last night we went out to dinner with his family and had some yummy Mexican food.
This morning we opened presents and enjoyed some yummy birthday breakfast of cheesy eggs and blueberry muffins!

We like to celebrate birthdays in "birthday weeks" not just one day, so later tonight and this week there will be more presents and celebrations! Thanks to everyone who called, texted and participated in Marshall's Birthday Surprise! We love you guys!

My Birthday!

I know I know, my birthday was last month, but I wanted to brag on my friends and family and say thanks at the same time.
I had the rare opportunity to spend some time right around my birthday with my family in Texas this year. I got to have lunch out with all the girls in Katy and in New Braunfels, the family surprised me with cake, ice cream (Blue Bell), and a birthday dinner the day before we left!

Marshall spent hours tracking down the diaper bag I have had my eye on for months, and surprised me with it! Isn't it beautiful? Something to make me feel pretty while I spend the next few months adjusting to dirty diapers and spit up!
Friends from work sent me a card and these beautiful flowers! I wasn't expecting them to remember my day since I cut my hours back significantly over a month ago to get ready for baby.
Nicole spent precious time at the sacred Scrap Book Expo working on this beautiful scrapbook for me and the baby! It would have been something I would have wanted to do for myself but would have never gotten around to. I am sooooo excited to fill it with pics! This picture doesn't do it justice so if you are at my house anytime soon you should ask to see it. It is BEAUTIFUL!

And as I mentioned before, Nate and Britt treated me to a fun girls night out to the Britney Spears Concert. It was so much fun!

Thanks to everyone who called, emailed and texted me too! I know it takes a lot to remember dates as I struggle with them myself ;) and I appreciate all the well wishes on my birthday!

Happy Birthday Jills Marie P!

Jill's birthday was earlier this week so we wanted to dedicate a small post to her!

I have always said I couldn't imagine Lee with any other girl than Jill and it's true! She's perfect for him and for us! She has a great since of humor, a loving personality, and is amazingly patient with all the craziness that comes with the Prince family. Even though we are almost exactly the same age (only a few weeks apart), Jill has acted much like a big sister to me since she and Lee have been together. She has always taken the time to chat with me and answer questions about life. She has spent many hours on the phone with me talking about love and marriage and most recently family and children, even though she has a busy life of her own. We LOVE Jill and are so grateful Lee was able to snatch her up and make her part of the family! We hope you birthday was amazing and that your birthday week is all you deserve!

OPPS I did it again!

Actually, this was my first time and before you read this post I will have you know there will be no judging! If you are gonna judge, you can just go ahead and close the page and wait for my next post! UNDERSTOOD?

Ok, Here we go. Last night I went to the Britney Spears concert with my sister-in-law Brittanie! That's right! Call it sowing wild oats before the baby comes or peer pressure, but I call it A DANG GOOD TIME! Nate and Britt gave me my ticket for my birthday and I must say it was up there with one of the best gifts I got this year! Nate babysat Issac so Me and Britt could go stress free. Wayne and Marshall kept him company and offered moral support while enjoying some "man time" together. Here are some pictures from our night.
Before the concert we met at Britt's house to eat dinner and make some T shirts for the concert. Yup, you read mine right. We couldn't resist using the saying for my shirt since that is a shirt Britney was photographed wearing several times during her first pregnancy. Hey, I said DON'T JUDGE!
Here is the view we had! Our seats were amazing thanks to Nate and Britt! This picture really doesn't due it justice!

Some of Britney's more modest costume changes!

A souvenir for our little girl! After all, she was there too!

About half way through Nicole and her friend Cami were able to sneak down and sit in some empty seats right in front of us!

There you have it! I hope you were able to make it through this with minimal judging. Some day when our children are older they will look back at these posts and laugh at us. But at least they will know we were fun people once upon a time! Thanks so much Nate and Britt for a fun birthday last Hoorah!

Texas Trip

DISCLAIMER- I wrote this post last week but somewhere in my long blogging absence I forgot how to get pictures to post the way I would like. So pictures will come first this time. Here they are in no particular order...

John, William and Steven enjoying ice cream on the River Walk in San Antonio
Me and Marshall enjoying the beautiful Texas Spring. (One of the only shots you will see of me in Texas due to the unfortunate pregnancy swelling that occurs in the South)
Jill, Ella and Flat Stanley posing by the famous umbrellas
A quick shot by the pretty scenery
Golfing Fun
Jill and I had a rare opportunity to take a back to back shot. We are due only a few weeks apart!
Fun playing with the blocks Nana bought Ella
Charger and Raggedy Anne got caught cuddling
Fun with bubbles in Nana's garden
A picture from one of our many fun walks at Nana's House
Me and Charger at the Comal river in New Braunfels
Marshall and the river rat! It was pretty interesting. It ate the bread intended for feeding the ducks right out of Marshall's hand!
Some friends Marshall made while golfing with the boys in New Braunfels
We made it back from Texas early last week, and after a week of catching up on sleep and trying to detox from all the yummy food, I am ready to give my vast blogging audience a report on our travels.
I started off in Houston for a week where I had tons of fun playing games with family and friends, going for walks with my mom, the dogs and cute Ella, and getting baby stuff organized.
We had a fun girls lunch to celebrate all the birthdays with Valorie, Amanda, Mom, and Jill. Jill helped me start my baby registry and gave me some good advice on things that would help me keep my sanity while trying to adjust to motherhood, and some things not to trouble myself with. It rained the first day and a half I was there and after that the weather was beautiful, definitely not the typical hot and humid Houston weather. However, despite the unusually beautiful weather, I discovered while in Houston how although I miss my family terribly, I am glad I will not be spending my last trimester in the Lone Star State. Apparently, the Southern climate makes me swell and retain water in a very scary way!
After a week in Houston with my mom, it was off to visit my dad in New Braunfels! Lee, Jill, Ella and I drove up Tuesday night and Marshall and John flew in Wednesday just after lunch. We spent our time together mostly just visiting, playing games and catching up. The boys, including William and Steven, managed to slip away for some golf twice during the trip. The first time was the first day there. The girls stopped by for a short visit when they were about half way through and they were generous and patient enough to let us tag along for a few holes.
The next day we enjoyed an authentic Texas rain and thunderstorm that cleared up just in time for us to head to San Antonio for an early dinner on the Riverwalk. After dinner we enjoyed some ice cream and music at the Rivercenter.
The rest of the trip was filled with more golf, in person and on TV, a fun shopping trip for the expecting mothers, and tons of fun food and games.

And to top it off, the day before we left, the family put together a fun birthday celebration for me where we had cake and ice cream! It was fun to get to spend so much time with all my family so close to my birthday, and a good break from real life right before the baby comes!

Thank you everyone for making our trip so comfortable and enjoyable!
